About
Thomas Feduk, Jr.
I am 22 years old and have been working with computers for approximately 8 years. I have enjoyed using them ever since we won our first system, an IBM PS/2 486 desktop around 1994.
I used to experiment with this computer from time to time, but it was not until the age of 13 that I started learning how computers truly operate. My "jump start" under the hood of computers began in a class I took at Hanford High-School, taught by Edward Ufford. I was hooked the day I started that class. I remained a student for the full year and learned a great deal about hardware, software and the internet.
At 14 I finished the class and kept learning by hands-on experience, reading and research. I started offering computer services at the age of 14 within the Tri-Cities area. At the age of 15 I received the A+ Certification, at 16 I became Network+ Certified. Shortly afterwards I began experimenting with HTML and web design. I found that I enjoyed building websites just as much as I enjoyed working on computers.
My first employment was at the age of 15, as a computer technician for the Richland School District. I worked there for two years and gained a great deal of experience and met many wonderful individuals. I then enrolled in CBC with a focus in business related classes so I could expand and improve TechKid PC.
At around 17 I started offering web design and began to work with PHP (a web based programming language) which I used to create dynamic and powerful sites to fit a wide array of needs; from databases, to performing mathematical operations, template control and web tools.
